K4 Solutions Receives New Contract to Support a NETCENTS Task Order from Air Force Research Laboratory
December 2007

K4 was recently awarded a task order from the Wright Patterson AFB, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in Rome, New York.  K4 currently provides information technology services to support the researchers and scientists at the Rome Research Site during the government fiscal year of 2008.  K4 is especially excited to begin this new work since the Air Force is one of K4’s core customers and focus areas.  K4 views this information technology support task at the Air Force Research Lab as an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force in another one of its important endeavors.

Awarded A/V Project at Howard University

K4 Solutions was recently awarded A/V work at Howard University in Washington D.C along with its A/V partner, CDW.  K4 provided hardware and installation services at the new Howard Business School Building.  K4 continues to deliver high-quality A/V services to the government and private sectors as a partner to A/V leader, CDW. 

K4 Awarded GSA Schedule IT 70
November 2007

K4 was recently awarded the GSA Schedule IT 70.  GSA Schedule 70 is an IDIQ contract administered by the Federal Supply Service of the General Services Administration that allows K4 to provide Information Technology products and services to federal customers a GSA contractor.  Any agency of the U.S. Government may take advantage of Schedule 70 task orders to secure products and services in a variety of skill areas, including systems analysis, design, and installation; programming; and integrated logistics support.

The GSA Schedule IT 70 contract vehicle is ranked as one of K4’s most valuable contract vehicles along with Air Force NETCents, Department of Justice Information Technology Analysis (ITA) IDIQ, Department of Commerce COMMITS NexGen, and Department of Health and Human Services Contact Center Customer Service (CCCS) IDIQ, among others.

Awarded A/V Project at University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC)

K4 Solutions was recently awarded A/V work at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  As a partner to CDW, K4 provided UMBC with A/V installation and programming services.  K4 provides secure and non-secure VTC/AV solutions to multiple customers ranging from the University of Maryland to the Department of Justice, U.S. Army, and Air Force.  Our extensive VTC/AV services include assessment, design and development, and implementation services.  We utilize certified technicians and constantly focus on customer satisfaction.

K4 Awarded ONR MATOC IDIQ
October 2007

K4 was recently awarded the ONR MATOC IDIQ under Global ISI to help provide technical, programmatic, and engineering services to the Office of Naval Research.  K4 will conduct work in the Conference and Event Support Services and Information Technology Support Services CLINs.

K4 Supports Vangent on a New Contract at 1-800 Medicare Call Center

K4 currently supports Vangent by staffing and managing Customer Service Representatives, Prescription Drug Plan Specialists, and Forms Processors under Vangent’s new contract at the 1-800 Medicare Call Center in Chester, VA.  K4 has successfully hired over 800 Customer Services Representatives as a subcontractor to Vangent and continues to support all staffing and managing efforts on an as-needed basis.  K4 is viewed as a principal supporter of Vangent and has played a large role in Vangent’s receipt of three recent Contact Center Awards.

K4 Provides IT Support to USDA Forest Services

As a subcontractor to Innovative Systems Solutions Corporation (ISSC), K4 currently assists ISSC in providing IT services to the USDA Forest Services including Enterprise Integration, Management Consulting, Business Transformation, Application Development, and Database Management services.  K4’s work with ISSC reflects our strong performance in enterprise architecture and network services.

K4’s Vinay Raman Leads SharePoint User Group – DC

Vinay Raman, K4 Vice President, is the current DC Chapter President for SUGDC, SharePoint User Group of Northern Virginia and DC.   SUGDC is a user group based in Northern Virginia that draws attendees from the entire Metro area, including MD, VA & DC. K4’s president and CEO, Sumi Krishnan, was elected into the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Northern Virginia Chapter Board of Directors, and further nominated to serve on the Executive Committee of the Board.  Sumi serves as the Director of Member Services and will be supporting NAWBO NOVA in its mission to educate and promote women owned businesses in their efforts to grow in today’s economy.

K4 Solutions – Principal Supporter of Vangent in its Recent Recognition of three (3) Contact Center Awards

K4 offers Contact Center support to Vangent, a company recently recognized with three (3) Contact Center Awards at the 2nd annual Contact Center World Awards Americas Regional Conference held June 4-5 in Orlando, Florida.  Vangent was recognized for excellence in the management and operation of the Medicare Beneficiary Contact Center (BCC) program on behalf of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. As a subcontractor to Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and business process outsourcing solutions, K4 has been staffing the 1800MEDICARE Call Center since October 2005.

K4 has staffed over 800 Tier 1 Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) in the past 24 months by responding to spike volume periods, fluctuations, and staffing surges.  The K4 staffing team places CSRs into multiple shifts, manages an intensive two-week training course, and responds to employee turnover by maintaining a substitution pool of qualified personnel.  A full time K4 Project Manager works onsite to ensure all K4 CSRs are productive, responsive, and performing at their peak. 

In all, Vangent took home the following awards for its management and operation of the Call Center:

2007 Americas Region Bronze Medal for Best Contact Center (250+ Agents) - Given to the overall best contact center that focuses on staff at all levels, demonstrates a commitment to the customer, and ensures that the performance and objectives of the contact center are in line with the organization's goals.

Air Force / SMS Reenlist K4 for Network Engineering Services at the Pentagon

K4 Solutions, Inc. has won a subcontract from the Air Force Pentagon Communications Agency (AFPCA) for continued network engineering services and support at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia.

K4 will be a subcontractor to SMS Data Products Group, Inc. SMS and AFPCA reenlisted the services of K4 following January completion of a six-month project at the Pentagon designing, developing, and maintaining storage area network (SAN) solutions for the agency.

The top-flight quality of K4’s earlier work is proved by the company’s being recruited back to the Pentagon for a follow-on project.

Under the new subcontract, K4 will provide advanced network engineering services at the Pentagon. Working in a managed-desktop, large-scale environment of more than 10,000 end users, the company will provide network engineering and desktop management and distribution solutions, developing installation scripts and working on patch management and overall security management for Pentagon networks. K4 will also create support and quality assurance documentation.

K4 Solutions Awarded New Contract with Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives

K4 Solutions was recently awarded a contract with the Department of Justice, a significant federal law enforcement agency to provide technical analysis support, assessment and documentation of business requirements, and alternatives and feasibility of software solutions.  K4 will provide Project Management oversight and support in these analysis services along with our teaming partner, InfoZen.  The initial Task Order for the contract is $15 Million for a five-year period.   

K4 has served DOJ for over five years in an array of technical and administrative projects and plans to continue its exceptional work in the ATF analysis environment.  K4 maintains a stellar reputation for providing IT solutions to the Department of Justice and other federal agencies and plans to continue its mission of delivering quality services and guaranteeing customer satisfaction. 

As the new VP of Accounts for K4 Solutions, Mr. Raman is responsible for developing new technology practices at K4.

In his role as VP of Accounts for K4 Solutions, Mr. Raman is responsible for developing new technology practices at K4.  He will be responsible for continuing to develop K4’s presence in the Federal government and in commercial markets.  Mr. Raman has over 10 years of experience in the technology sector; he was previously employed by Apptix, Inc. and was credited for increasing sales by over 500%.  Mr. Raman previously started 3 companies and brings his entrepreneurial spirit to K4.  Following a career as a senior technical engineer, consultant, and project manager, Mr. Raman actively participated in business development in his own companies as well as others.  Mr. Raman has a broad breadth of experience and a versatile skill set, which is applicable in many situations.  He holds degrees in Math and Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Professional Science Masters degree in Applied Computing from American University.

Sumi Krishnan has been recognized as the Distinguished Young AFCEAN for 2007 by AFCEA International, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association.  AFCEA International is a non-profit international association that supports global security by establishing and encouraging relationships among civil government agencies, the military and industry.
